What does self-care mean to you? When are you going to start taking care of yourself? What would that look like if you did? Can you do something for yourself today? right now? How about something that won’t cost money and doesn’t require planning?

Here are a few things that I find nourishing:

  • take a walk
  • pick a flower or make a snow-ball or draw a picture in the snow
  • snuggle with a dog, cat, bird, loved one
  • sit in a sunny spot
  • give yourself a foot or hand massage
  • draw a doodle
  • call a friend

If you want to change your brain, you’ve got to start by changing your actions. If you want your mind to begin to shift, give it something to follow – your body. Ultimately, they are one and the same.
